Ligji 97/2013 përcakton si ndër qëllimet kryesore të veprimtarisë së RTSH-së të mbështesë vlerat njerëzore dhe demokratike, si dhe të informojë dhe edukojë publikun, duke respektuar në çdo rast dinjitetin njerëzor.
Problematika e konstatuar
Monitorimi i ISP gjatë vitit 2025 tregon se në 35 vjetorin e vrasjeve në kufi (1990) media publike dhe RTSH-ja, kanë reflektuar mungesë emisionesh informuese, debatuese, sensibilizuese dhe hulumtuese mbi këtë problematikë, memorien apo mbi praktikat e në vendet demokratike.
Rekomandime për ndërhyrje
Media publike duhet të reflektojë vëmendje, përgjegjësi dhe përfshirje aktive në memorien historike mbi të kaluarën, përfshirë: vrasjet në kufi, mbi dialogun dhe sfidat e përballjes me të), informimit dhe edukimit të publikut.
Ky infografik është realizuar në kuadër të projektit “Mbi viktimat e kufirit: Informim e sensibilizim për viktimat e vrasjeve dhe zhdukjeve gjatë arratisjeve në kufij gjatë viteve 1988-1991”, i cili po mundësohet nga International Commission on Missing Persons, ICMP përmes grantit të financiar nga Bashkimi Evropian në Shqipëri. Legal Framework
Law No. 7/2013 defines among RTSH’s core objectives the promotion of human and democratic values, as well as the obligation to inform and educate the public while upholding human dignity in all circumstances.
Identified Issues
Monitoring by ISP during 2025 indicates that, on the 35th anniversary of the border killings (1990), RTSH and the public media covered the issue through informative, debate-oriented, awareness-raising, and investigative programming, touching upon memory, justice, and democratic practices in Albania.
Recommendations
Public media should continue and deepen their engagement with historical memory, including open dialogue on past events such as the border killings. These efforts should aim to inform and educate the public.
